Interests: First of all...I love God. I'm also the kind of person you could find at any local coffee shop reading a good book that I got at the discount book store on Middlebelt Road. I now enjoy listening to cultural music...thanks to my trip to Thailand this past summer. I usually have a cup of green tea sitting on the table in front of me and love having an occasional art-chat with fellow artists and art-viewers. I also love chatting about different travels...due to my long list of places I have been (mainly in Europe and Southeast Asia). This, of course, means that I am a complete dork....but hey....it happens.
Expertise: I pierce people and sell people jewelery...i also make a mean cup of coffee....due to the past job at the coffee shop. I also paint.....and take photos.

| Back from the Grand Traverse Resort (yes...the same place we stayed at when a bunch of HHers went). The speaker for the youth pastors was awesome. he talked about finances, and even though i hear about that at work (which i am currently at right now), it was interesting. Andy and I are starting on a strict budget, not because we are poor currently, but to help save for the future. It would be much more easy if God calls us to a place, and we dont have to fundraise money to get there.....because we have been saving for it all this time. We also are getting rid of any and all plastic in our wallets. We have found that when we use credit cards...in our minds, we dont feel like we are spending money. which we are. So...on with the savings and frugal living!! WOO! We met some young pastoral couple friends (AHH FRIENDS) at the conference too...which was awesome...and they only live 1 hour away.....So all of us are going to get together and be friends (which we need, since we are lonely and friendless) AND they love Nacho Liebre and one of the guys love Mac computers (which, by the way, check out the new phone). Andy and him talked for about an hour about why macs are better than any other techy device. Noel's leg is doing 100% better (she was limping on it). We think she may have a joint problem...or even baby tiny kitty arthritis...but we are just giving her some glucosamines...and they make her joints feel nice and pretty, and she is fine. Andy and I are going on a date tomorrow night (we have giftcards, so it will be a free date). Yeah....he's pretty much the best husband ever. | | |
| well, i am back from Hollywood and about to leave for traverse city for a pastor's conference with my most amazing husband...but i should prolly update about the road trip before i go off on another one.
turns out it is not warm in the south. i packed one sweater and wore it everyday because it was freezing every where. who knew that it snows in new mexico and arizona...we know that now...and not only snow...but blizzard.
illinois, indiana and texas were the most boring states ever. missouri was pretty for the most part. but new mexico and arizona (minus the snow) were beautiful and i would love to live in either one of those states. We saw bufflos, indians (however, i think they were fake ones) , and many stray animals that i wish i could take home with me.
but besides all that, Hollywood was cool. My sister's job is amazing. I would take it in a second. She is the second assistant for Marty Cohen, whose name is on all the credits in paramount films. I was sitting at her desk and going through her files and what not and i found every reciept for the movie Munich and for Transformers. I found the first written script for Nacho Liebre, and then the deleted scenes they decided to take out...and I found Jack Blacks phone number, among many other things.
While my sister was getting trained, BJ told her not to put any calls through to Marty unless it is a girl named Maria, because thats Steven's assistant. Turns out by "Steven" they mean Spielberg. thats pretty neat. I also saw "Steven's" parking spot.
So besides her having the coolest job ever, she also took me to Santa Monica beach which was very pretty, and we walked the shopping street. It was a short trip, but it was fun. I will miss my sister.
....i must go...andy brought home subway...and then we need to pack....but i shall update more later. | | |
| hello! it is I....i am alive....no worries.
been busy lately....life in general tends to be a little busy....Lots of weekend fun with friends and family....Josh and Erika from ohio came up and it was the greatest time of our lives... Also getting ready for Christmas, which is stressfully exciting. Andddd.....My sister got a new job!!! In California....In L.A. She is the new post production assistant for Paramount Pictures. She will be scheduling and planning the editing, viewings, and shoots of all the Paramount films. Aint that exciting??? sooooo......that means that me and her are having a road trip! she wants her car in california, so two days after christmas her and i will be heading off for a 3 day road trip to california...and then i will be flying back just in time for our youth new years lazer tag party.
.....busy busy busy december.
and i will start taking classes to get my degree in Animal Care through PCDI soon. With that degree I will be able to be a vet tech...which is what i have always wanted to do...so that is awesome.
also...if you need to get ahold of me, call Andy's phone...because I am no longer using mine (barely) so it's safer to use his....
ok...thats a quick update, and now I must attempt to update my myspace...seeing as i havent even looked at it in weeks.... oops. | | |
| sooooo......Andy and I took it upon ourselves to schedule a little mini-holiday for us. so tonight after service, we are going up to Frankenmuth!! and we got a hotel with a pool in it so we will be swimming all tonight and then eating chicken all tomorrow and shopping at birch run! I'm just happy that we get to spend some quality time together.....we havent been getting much of that lately :( so.....we will make up for it! i love my hubby :) (and chicken.....) | | |
| we had a slumber party with Henry last night...and yesterday was my first day at my actual bank branch......
other than that, we are counting down the days that we are going to go see HOLY HANDS! woot.....next weekend or something....I think....yes.....
but now, us + Henry are going to go explore Grand Ledge.
